What, snow!?

We are getting lake effect snow.  I had to clean a couple of inches of wet, heavy snow off the car this morning.  The boys were stoked about the prospect of making snowballs except that by the time we got as far south and west as the school, there was no snow.  Drove back home...it's snowing gangbusters up here and accumulating.  It is October, right?!?  Oh, yeah...I forget, it is Northeast Ohio.

Traverse City in October

Went to the MANA (midwives alliance of north america) conference in Traverse City a couple of weeks ago.  Had a fantastic time, met lots of great midwives, and really cemented my purpose and where I'm going.

Our room was on the 15th floor at the Grand Traverse Resort and Lodge.  What a really cool place!  Outdoor hot-tub, indoor water slide, jacuzzi tub in the room.  There were 4 of us in the room, but there was plenty of space.

I had an opportunity to practice suturing (on a chicken breast, not real people!), but it was still fun.
